Tuve una breve entrevista con Francoise Cactus y Brezel Gorig de Stereo Total que se presenta el 10 de Septiembre en el salón Covadonga. Siempre he pensado que este par tiene influencias muy interesantes y a pesar de que ya llevan tiempo tocando, sus discos aportan grandes cambios manteniendo siempre el sonido tan característico que los define.

1.- All of your album covers have very interesting art, tell us about “Baby Ouh“

FC: The cover art was our idea, we wanted  to make kind of a flower with our heads inside. The photos are from Singil and the design is from Cabine, who are both friends of ours.

2.- Many of the songs in the new album talk about different characters and/or are covers of numerous artists, What is the message behind and the influences of this album.

FC: It is suppose to be a hysterical romantic record.

3.- What inspired you to create a whole album in Spanish? No Controles

FC: We love to play in Spain and South America, and i am learning spanish right now, so we thought we should do a complete album in spanish , which is a beautiful language for singing.

4.- It’s clear that as time has passed your influences have changed, although it seems that everything started with electro pop/punk  influences such as Kraftwerk, Pissicato Five, Suicidio, etc. What are you listening right now?

FC: I am listening to new japanese music, like Polysics, and also band girls like Cobra Killer.

5.- Do you currently have any side projects?

FC: Yes, we were just finishing the music for a japanese pink movie, and i am also knitting and painting , as well as writting books.

BG: I am playing with a Baroque Orchestra and i am releasing punk rock bands on my label Verboten in Deutschland , so i am in the high and low ends of culture.

1.- Las portadas de sus discos tienen un arte muy interesante, cuéntenos de “Baby Ouh”

FC: El arte de la portada fue nuestra idea, queríamos hacer un tipo como de flor con nuestras cabezas adentro. Las fotos son de Singil y el diseño de Cabine, los dos son muy amigos nuestros.

2.- Muchas de las canciones en su nuevo álbum son covers o  hablan de diferentes artistas, cual es el mensaje que quieren dar  y las influencias

FC: Supuesta mente es un disco histericamente romántico.

3.- Que los inspiro crear un álbum en español? No Controles

FC: Nos encanta tocar en España y Sudamérica, yo ahora estoy aprendiendo español así que se nos hizo buena idea hacer un álbum completamente en español. ademas es un idioma muy bonito para cantar.

4.- Sus influencias han cambiado mucho con el paso del tiempo por obvias razones todo comenzó con un poco de electro/pop punk como Kraftwerk, Pissicato Five,Suicidio, Mouse on Mars, etc, Que están escuchando ahora, cuales son sus influencias?

FC: Estoy escuchando nueva música japonesa como Polysics y también grupos de chicas como Cobra Killer.

5.- Tienen proyectos alternos en la actualidad?

FC: Si, de hecho estamos acabando de hacer la música para una película pink japonesa y también estoy pintando,  tejiendo y escribiendo un libro.

BG: Estoy tocando en una orquesta barroca y estoy haciendo release de varias bandas de punk, así que ando metido en los niveles extremos de la cultura.
